Building a Kingdom Team

Why is it so important for you to leave your job, church, family, friends, and home to go to a developing country?

Why do you need me?  Why do you have to raise support?  What’s in it for me?

All valid questions that I would love to address.

If you are a believer of Jesus Christ, you know He stated in Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority in heaven on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

I am going because I have a specific call and a specific group of people to disciple.

In 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, Paul talks about unity and diversity in the Body.  The body is church of Jesus Christ.  We are the body.  “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”  verse 27 “Now you are the boy of Christ, and each of you is a part of it.”

You may have a completely different gifting than me.  Maybe you are called to serve in the children’s ministry, or raise your family at home, or run a successful Christian business. That’s awesome!  I am not called to do any of those things in this season.  I am called to be a missionary of the nations.

As brothers and sisters in Christ, Paul tells us to “therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

You may have no desire to leave the United States and come to Nicaragua, and that is ok.  But, you can be a part of the the great commission (CO-mmission) by encouraging and supporting missionaries you may know prayerfully and financially.

“so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:4

I would like to share some further information with you about what I will be doing as a staff member with REAP Granada.

Restore Relationship with God first and then others.

Educate on God’s word to every aspect of life.

Activate faith through following Christ’s example by loving and serving others.

Perpetuate the ministry by raising up leaders to carry forward God’s work with and for our neighbors in Granada.

Did you notice that each of the four visions spells out REAP?

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” 2 Corinthians 9:6

What are you sowing into your life that will reap a generous reward from God?  What are you investing in?

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

So this is not to guilt you in to financially support me, I am just sharing how I am investing in the Kingdom of Heaven and now putting the question back on you: what are you doing right now to invest in the kingdom of Heaven?

Doesn’t have to be with me. But there are plenty of noble organizations and people doing Kingdom work.  Get involved with your time, energy and money.  I guarantee your life will be more richer for it.

If you are interested in hearing more about being on my Kingdom building team with REAP Granada, please reach out to me 305-338-1783 I would love to have a conversation.

There is no I in team, it takes a team/church/body of believers to come together in unity to build Christ’s church.  I am working for Kingdom things, not just earthly things.  Whose with me?!  Investing in God’s Kingdom and populating Heaven!

The founders, and two of my spiritual mentors, Scott & Jenn Esposito.
