I find my home and myself in a place

That can be so uncomfortable because of the language and culture.

A place where I want to adapt and be accepted, as a gringa who speaks Spanish and as a gringa who just wants to live and exist here.

I am not anymore special because I am a gringa

I am special because I am God's child.

And He made me to go into the nations and right now, He called me to Nicaragua.

So I choose to invest.

My time, my energy, whatever.

I'm here for the Lord because it's where I feel fully free to be my true self.

Comfortable in the heat, sweating, possibly dirty, T-shirts & jeans kinda girl.

But for some reason, it's where I find God, joy, peace, purpose, friendship, identity and a faith to 'sigue adelante'. (keep moving forward).

Is it bad if I want to invest in people and their potential?

Invest in the Kingdom first of course, but can't that look like investing in His children to rise up and grab a hold of their inheritance You have given them?

My life here is...

an investment.

to deposit something into Heaven.

to invest in a little bit of their life, to plant something, so they can look back and see God all over that time, energy, money, tears, anxiety...

it was all worth it. vale la pena.

Just to have them in eternal paradise with The Father, the One who created and loves us more deeply than we can imagine.
